Rev. Dr. Norman G. Bullock, a native of Los Angeles, currently serves as the Founding President and Managing Consultant for Strategic Innovation Partners which is a conduit and ministry providing executive coaching, interim leadership, and organizational development to both the faith-based and non-profit sectors. In addition, Dr. Bullock also provides transitional pastoral support to the St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church.  Previously, he served as the Transitional Pastor of the historic First Baptist Church of Los Angeles. In that capacity, Dr. Bullock provided strategic and intentional pastoral leadership to the congregation during a critical time of transition and transformation in the interim by evaluating programs/ministries to become more effective in her call as a congregation.

Dr. Bullock is passionate about social justice, community outreach, scholastic achievement, and the inclusion of intergenerational ministry in the rhythm of daily church life.  Dr. Bullock publicly embraced his call into ministry during his career in the Corporate Finance and Business sector while serving as an Audit Manager at two large CPA firms in Los Angeles.  He received his spiritual formation and was licensed to preach at Bethel Church of Christ Holiness, his home church. He was later licensed and ordained by the American Baptist Churches, USA at Second Baptist Church, where he served on the pastoral staff and as Executive Director of the church’s community development initiatives. He has served in many other pastoral leadership capacities including Youth Pastor, Associate Pastor, Assistant to the Pastor, and Executive Pastor of a new church plant in Los Angeles. His objective is to be used by God in being a change agent for positive uplift, transformative discipleship, and spiritual renewal.

Dr. Bullock’s life over the years has been committed to promoting ways to serve others and build community.  He believes in the power of prayer and the providential leading of the hand of God. He is a leader widely respected for his innovative thinking, contemporary leadership, business savvy, and holistic approach to social change and large-scale community development. He lives with the constant expectancy that God is going to do great things.

Dr. Bullock possesses an undergraduate degree from UCLA in Sociology and Economics. He holds a Master of Divinity degree from Claremont School of Theology in Social Ethics & Urban Ministry, with a concentration in Non-Profit Leadership, an MBA degree with a concentration in Social Entrepreneurship at Walden University, and a Doctor of Ministry degree from Fuller Theological Seminary with a focus on Transformative Leadership.  A lifelong learner, he has completed additional graduate work at Harvard University, USC, and Claremont Graduate University. He also holds a certificate from the Harvard University Divinity School’s Institute for Church-based Community and Economic Development.

His community involvement included serving as President of the California National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) and serving in other leadership roles.  A selected list of past and present organizations includes the American Baptist Foundation, 100 Black Men of Los Angeles, Extera Public Charter Schools, Hope for LA Partnership, and Kappa Achievement Fund.  He is also a Barnabas Partner, a cohort of Emerging African American pastors within the American Baptist Churches, USA.

Dr. Bullock is married to Maria Bullock, an attorney, and they are the parents of three children, Nina, Nicholas, and Nicole.
